25 February
Trading in i-REC (International Renewable Energy Certificate) green certificates with the participation of Samruk-Green Energy LLP has been launched on the AIFC Stock Exchange.
"Samruk-Energy" JSC and UCC signed a Shareholder Agreement (SHA) for the construction of a power plant based on CCGT with a capacity of about 1100 MW in the Kyzylorda region.
30 May
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between "Samruk-Energy" JSC and SACE S.p.A. within the framework of the official visit of the Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Italian Republic. The document provides for the development of cooperation and support for investment projects up to 300 million euros.
16 June
Within the framework of the Power Central Asia+China energy forum, a Cooperation Agreement was signed on the project for the construction of the first pumped storage power plant in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
18 June
A Shareholder Agreement was signed for the construction of a 1 GW wind farm with an energy storage system in cooperation with China Power International Holding (CPIH).
24 June
The Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Kokshetau CHPP LLP signed an agreement for the construction of a combined heat and power plant in the city of Kokshetau.

"Samruk-Energy" JSC was awarded for innovations in the field of operation and maintenance of thermal power facilities at the III International Forum "Thermal Power Engineering Central Asia".

For the project for the construction of a wind farm of 1 GW, the project company Pavlodar Green Ener-gy LLP was registered.

An investment agreement was signed on the project for the construction of a solar power plant with a capacity of 300 MW in the Turkestan region within the framework of the meeting of the Business Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan - China.

Within the framework of the Kazakh-Chinese Business Council, agreements were signed with China Southern Power Grid International on the implementation of the PSP project and with China Energy Engineering Corporation on strategic cooperation in the energy sector.

Samruk-Energy and the Akimat of Pavlodar region signed a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at developing the social infrastructure of the region and implementing affordable housing projects with a total cost of about 20 billion KZT.

At Ekibastuz GRES-1, an automated pollutant emissions monitoring system was put into pilot operation, which ensures the transfer of data to the system of the authorised body in online test mode.
